Gary's practice focuses on guardianships, conservatorships, trusts, and probate, and he represents a number of professional guardians and conservators. He joined The Elder Law Firm as a partner in 2008, after 20 years as a partner in Harris & Vigna, PC.
Gary is a native Oregonian who graduated from Franklin High School in Portland in 1970, the University of Oregon in 1974, and the University of Puget Sound Law School in 1977. He was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1978 and is a member of the Elder Law Section, the Estate Planning and Administration Section, and the Business Section of the Oregon State Bar. He was elected to the Executive Committee of the Elder Law Section for two terms, ending in 2008.
In addition to serving on the probate advisory committee for the Multnomah County Circuit Court, Gary regularly makes presentations to attorneys and other professionals on topics involving estate planning, probate, guardianship, and conservatorship. In 2009, he wrote the chapter on guardianships for the new Protective Proceedings Benchbook for judges.
